DroidiTV Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-12
Summary
DroidiTV is designed as a device-side client. The app does not include a developer-operated backend service for user accounts, analytics, advertising, or remote user-data storage.
The app stores certain information locally on your device so it can function, such as IPTV account settings, favorites, history, cached channel data, cached EPG data, and app preferences.
When you configure the app to connect to an IPTV or playlist provider, the app connects directly from your device to the provider or other content sources configured by you. Those connections are outside our control.
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
- IPTV server or playlist URL
- Username and password entered by you
- Account-related settings
- Favorites
- Watch history
- Category filter settings
- Language preferences
- Diagnostic logging preferences
- Locally cached channel and EPG data
Network Connections
The app may connect directly from your device to IPTV providers, playlist endpoints, EPG sources, channel logo URLs, and app distribution services related to your installation channel.
The app supports both HTTPS and plain HTTP because IPTV and playlist sources are user-provided and may rely on either protocol.
Your credentials and requests may be transmitted directly from your device to the service provider you configure in the app as required for functionality. They are not routed through us.
Diagnostic Logs
Diagnostic logs, if enabled by you, are stored locally or exported by you. They are not sent to us automatically.
Third-Party Services
The app may interact with third-party IPTV providers, EPG providers, image hosts, and app distribution services selected or triggered by the user. We do not control those services. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for their privacy practices, service behavior, security, availability, content, or legal compliance.
Data Retention
Because the app primarily stores data locally on your device, retained data generally remains there until you delete it, clear app data, uninstall the app, remove accounts or settings, or cached data is overwritten or cleared by the app.
Security
The app uses available Android security mechanisms for local sensitive data storage, but no device or software security can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your Responsibility and Liability
You are solely responsible for the providers, content, credentials, and legal compliance of the services you use with the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability for user conduct, third-party services, provider failures, content unavailability, or direct or indirect consequences resulting from use of the app. Nothing in this policy limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version applies when published with the app or otherwise made available.
